At TJ International we pro-actively strive to improve environmental standards across our own industry and other sectors. We demonstrate our responsible attitude to protecting the environment by constantly developing more ecologically responsible methods of planning, printing, producing and distributing books.
We are fully compliant with all legislation on health, safety and the environment and our standards have been accredited by a number of external assessors. Our ISO14001 Environmental Management System has been developed in-house with the support and co-operation of all personnel to ensure we meet the necessary high standards. The management system provides staff with training plans, environmental targets and objectives to continually reduce waste, effluent, emissions and capitalize on resources across all sections of the company.
To the benefit of the environment and our clients, we are accredited by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), demonstrating our commitment to environmentally responsible forest management in sourcing material for our products. We were awarded Best UK Recycling Company by Severnside Recycling and The Woodland Trust have dedicated ¼ of an acre of woodland to us in return for our recycling efforts.
Additionally, in 2003 we were named PrintWeek Magazine’s Environmental Company of the Year and in 2005 we were named Printing World Magazine’s UK Environmental Winner, recognising overall excellence and best environmental practise.
We continue to work with a large number of like-minded organisations and are respected nationally for our environmental achievements.
